Welcome to My Personal Page

I am participating in Moving Day® Phoenix, benefiting the Parkinson's Foundation.
I was diagnosed with Parkinson's in May 2019. My symptoms began with a slight tremor in my right arm. It was at first thought to be essential tremor but further testing revealed dopamine loss. My husband and I shared tears of disbelief. I spent hours deep diving on the internet for answers. While searching I ran across a site called Baehr challenge.org. I read an uplifting story of Brian Baehr and his family's work towards Parkinson's research fundraising. I reached out to him and that began my healing process. Days later He introduced me to boxing and hiking and a whole new group of friends. One of whom, Debbie Smith, is my inspiration. I wish I had one ounce of her energy and optimism! Through these friends I have learned the importance of exercise and socialization to combat this disease. It is so important to get get involved. Debbie asked me to volunteer for last year's Moving Day event and it was beautiful beyond words. It was amazing to see the turn out and the amount of love and support. This year may be virtual due to the pandemic but it too will be amazing with help from you. Let's keep moving! Together strong.
I want to now give a big shout out to my husband Mike, my daughter Alicia, and my son Alex. They are my life and I couldn't feel more loved. I have had so many wonderful friends reach out to me as well. You mean the world to me too. Thank you all.
Please consider being a part of my team or sponsoring me, and I encourage you to get your friends, family and coworkers involved.
Thank you for helping me reach my fundraising goal to support the vital work of the Parkinson's Foundation.
