Welcome to My Personal Page

I am participating in Virtual Moving Day, Columbus, Parkinson Foundation on October 4th, 2020, in memory of my mother, Phyllis Nelson, who died May, 2019 from complications of Parkinson's disease. She was 97 years old, had 6 children, 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren when she passed away.
She was diagnosed in 1991. I am her youngest daughter and was her caregiver. She missed seeing 2 new great great grandchildren being born to this family.
When she was first diagnosed, she was able to do everything, walk, talk, travel, cook and babysit her grandkids She loved cooking, traveling and babysitting her grandchildren.
I miss her terribly but I know she is in a better place with my dad. She sent a cardinal to visit and sit on my handle of my front door on the exact day she died, so I know she is in the right place and isn't suffering anymore. She and my dad are probably playing cards up in heaven.
But I am doing this walk in memory of my mom and to help raise awareness for Parkinson's disease. The more movement and walking a Parkinson's patient can do the more they delay the disease.
The event will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. We will be able to enjoy a variety of movement activities like yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, boxing, stretching and much more and celebrate the importance of movement in our lives.
Please consider being a part of my team or sponsoring me, and I encourage you to get your friends, family and coworkers involved.
Thank you for helping me reach my fundraising goal to support the vital work of the Parkinson's Foundation.
