I am getting ready to ride! On February 24, I'll be riding with the Parkinson's Foundation to raise funds and strengthen the Parkinson’s community. I will be challenging myself to finish the ride along with fellow riders in San Francisco and in other locations around the country.
The Parkinson’s Foundation helps to: fund genetic testing and medical research for better treatments, provide educational resources, and support local community efforts to improve care for people living with Parkinson’s disease. Educational resources can be incredibly helpful to someone who is trying to understand their symptoms and recent diagnosis; or who, after five or ten years, is going through a rocky patch of this chronic and currently incurable disease. While there are no “silver bullet” cures today, there have been encouraging developments and it feels like more are on the horizon. Having been diagnosed myself over five years ago, I know that time is of the essence.
Your support of the Parkinson’s Foundation will help make a difference in the daily lives of people affected by Parkinson’s disease. Please join me! Every dollar counts! Thank you!
