I'll write my personal info about why I'm riding and then you can read the canned words.
I have been spinning, in some form, since I was a kid on my Big Wheel. I started spinning on a stationary bike back in the late 90s on days I didn't want to run. During the pandemic I stopped completely...until I found Revolution Buffalo, where I found fantastic, challenging classes and a real community. One reason I know it's a special place and where I belong at this stage in my life is because of this ride and its connection to my life.
In 2017, I found out my "little" brother, Anthony, was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson's. My brother is the kindest, nicest, most good-hearted person you'd ever meet. He's also a fighter. I admire him and everything he does to keep himself healthy. You never hear him say "Woe is me." I am riding for him.
I really hope you choose to make a donation, no matter how small. Parkinson's is an awful disease...it's especially awful when it hits someone young.
CANNED WORDS AHEAD...
I'm ready to ride.
On Saturday, February 25, 2023 I'll be riding to raise funds and awareness with the Parkinson's Foundation. I'm challenging myself to finish the ride to improve care for those living with Parkinson's and advance research toward a cure.
My fundraising will support the Parkinson's Foundation and help serve the Parkinson’s community by:
· Understanding Parkinson’s through research toward a cure
· Ensuring better care for everyone living with Parkinson’s
· Educating and empowering the Parkinson’s community
Every dollar counts, thank you for your support!
