On Christmas of 2022, the world lost a great man. Alex Steurer made an impact on the lives of so many people through out his life. He was a beloved father and grandfather to his four daughters, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Alex was a mentor, coach & friend to so many young men & women, including his daughters throughout his coaching career. His love of basketball led to coaching at Queen of Apostles (Riverdale) for over 28 years. He also loved refereeing basketball & umpiring softball. He spent many years coaching & umpiring Tri-city Girls Softball on the fields at Container Corporation (Dolton). He enjoyed playing golf and softball with his sons-in-law & daughters. He had a love for travel and took many, many camping vacations with his family "= great".
