We created this tribute page to honor our dad, James Stephen Bower, who passed away on August 30, 2024. Jim was a husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, father-in-law, colleague, physician, and friend who was loved by many. He valued above all else time with family and friends. He was kind to all he met and loved to explore and learn. He had a quiet studious nature, but when the situation called for levity, he could deliver the perfect one liner.

In the final years of his life Jim endured the discomforts of Parkinson's disease with resilience and grace. He never complained about the many losses that came with the disease and he was grateful for every day he had with his family and friends. To honor his legacy, we are creating this fundraiser on behalf of our mom, Jim’s beloved wife, Susan Bower. Through this fundraiser and your support, we can help the foundation's mission to make life better for people with Parkinson’s.

We love you, Dad, you’re our hero! Your legacy will live on through us and your eight beloved grandchildren.
