Water Project for Haiti
Water Project for Haiti (WPH) is a Canadian organization founded in 2012 whose mission is to improve the quality of life for low-income communities in Haiti by producing, distributing, installing, and supporting the installation of water filters with water quality technology that is both inexpensive and effective. Their vision is to reduce the water crisis in Haiti by providing long-term, self-sustaining potable and affordable water solutions to the most vulnerable population of this country.
The organization produces bio-sand filters which provide a better quality of water to the local communities, families, local schools, churches, and local organizations. Water Project for Haiti hires and trains local people as professional technicians to install and offer follow-up home visits for up to one-year installation to ensure that the filter is being used in a safe and healthy manner.
Water Project for Haiti helps thousands of people in Haiti, raises awareness of the current critical water situation and finds solutions to increase access of high quality of clean water to the country.
Water Project for Haiti’s continued work depends on the support of generous individuals and businesses willing to help the institution.
