I am a brain tumor survivor and a supporter of the Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation. Once a year I participate in their annual fundraiser Race For Research. It's a 5K run, 1K walk which occurs near downtown Atlanta.
I've participated in this event since 2006 and I'm relatively easy to find in the crowd (ref my photo). I'd love for you to join me this year on Saturday, September 21, 2024 and show your support for this event.
I know some of you don't live close to Atlanta but that doesn't mean you can't participate or show your support. There are several ways in which you can participate, without leaving your home. You can register for the race by clicking on "join Yolanda's team" and elect to have your race shirt sent to you; you can share this page and heighten awareness of my fundraising efforts; you can make a donation; or you can do all three.
To participate or support me, simply click on the various buttons in the right hand column on this page. I appreciate you!
PLEASE KNOW that your participation and/or donation will have a positive impact on the life of a brain tumor patient.
The Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation is recognized as as a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization and as a public charity. Donations to the SBTF are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
