Working through, and recovering from, my brain tumor diagnosis without family or friends would have disastrous. Without them, I wouldn’t be here today. Without them, I would not have gotten out of bed, not have gotten dressed daily, would not have made it to all my doctor’s appointments, and certainly would not have been able to care for myself personally.
Friends and family have seen me through my darkest days, and they brought me to a space in life where I can again smile, I can laugh, and I can walk now with limited assistance. It’s been quite a journey.
This photo is from a happy place, and a happy space spent with friends and family. We were at Race For Research 2023 which is a 5K run/walk, 1K fun-run/walk and a fundraising event that raises money to support brain tumor research. If you've not participated before, there's no time like the present.
This years Race For Research occurs on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Atlantic Station, midtown Atlanta. The event kicks off at 7:15am and concludes by 10:00am. Please consider registering for the event, joining my team "Who Baby", or making a donation (no amount is too small).
Not only will your participation and/or donation have a positive impact on the life of a brain tumor patient; it will have a positive impact on this brain tumor patient; me. Thanking you in advance for your support.
The Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation is recognized as as a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization and as a public charity. Donations to the SBTF are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
