Dazzle's Terminators

Welcome to my team page in memory of my late wife Marge. The team name I’ve chosen for this year is Dazzle’s Terminators. When I first met Marge in early 1996 her social media name was “MsDazzle”. I’m determined to build a team of supporters that will enable organizations like Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation to “Terminate” brain cancer in memory of MsDazzle.

Our family supports the Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation (SBTF) and the Race for Research 5K. The goal is to raise funds to support research which results in new treatments, extended survivability, and hopefully a cure.

We don’t want other families to endure what Marge and our family went through!  We appreciate the support of our family and friends in our previous efforts over the past 3 years. The family still participates under the name Margies Wonder Warriors and we are expanding efforts to heighten the need for brain tumor research and are launching this second team honoring Marge.

Marge (aka Margie, Mom, Nana) was a loving daughter, friend, mom, nana, sister, step-mom and wife. The afternoon of June 15, 2019, Marge suffered a seizure. We later learned the seizure was caused by a tumor on the left frontal lobe of her brain. Days later we realized the seriousness of the situation. Marge was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) brain tumor. The average survival time is 12-18 months - only 25% of glioblastoma patients survive more than one year, and only 5% of patients survive more than five years. Later in Marge’s journey her diagnosis was updated to Gliomatosis Cerebri an extremely rare subset of GBM tumors with fewer than 100 cases diagnosed a year within the US. Despite this news Marge was determined she was going to be the one to beat this cancer. She was determined and never once did she complain about her situation. Unfortunately, on July 14, 2020 just 3 days prior to her 3rd grandchild being delivered Marge lost her battle with this monster.

GBM is a very destructive and evil disease; we need to find a cure. Our family would greatly appreciate it if you would consider helping us in our fight. No amount is too small to help.
