Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. Kelly and I are participating in the Sunshine Foundation's Great Splash for Kids during the month of August.

I joined the Sunshine Foundation as a board member. I knew that I wanted to get involved with an organization that had a personal significance to me. My inspiration for joining the board was our niece, Keira. She was born in 2006 with Cerebral Palsy and defied the odds from the moment she was born! Keira and her family faced some incredible challenges but they faced them together. That little girl had a smile that could light up a room and a giggle that made all the men in her life (of course including me, her favourite uncle) do her bidding. Keira fought for 9 and a half years with the support of her family to live an incredibly full life. She was blessed to have community members fundraise so that she and her family could experience a dream vacation. When I learned that the Sunshine Foundation helps make dreams come true for children across Canada living with severe physical disabilities I knew that this was the right cause for me to get involved with.
