Side effects:
After completing Breaking Barriers, you may experience an increase in confidence, resilience, a willingness to try new things, and a positive outlook that continues to fuel your future just what the young people we serve often feel too!
Why Breaking Barriers?
Without Sunshine, many young people see themselves as having a disability first and being a societal contributor second. Sunshine shifts that paradigm and helps them gain confidence and see themselves differently as someone who can vs. someone who can’t. Join Sunshine’s mission to break barriers and change lives. Achieving your personal goal will support more Sunshine Dreams and can motivate the young people we serve to achieve their goals too!
About The Sunshine Foundation of Canada
The Sunshine Foundation of Canada is a national charity based in London, Ontario that changes the lives of young people living with physical disabilities through our dream programs. A Sunshine Dream experience is an opportunity that helps kids and youth build and express a positive sense of self leading to a brighter, more hopeful future.
Since 1987, over 8,800 young lives have been changed by the tremendous impact of having a dream come true. These dreams have helped kids break barriers and write brighter future stories for themselves, showing them that nothing can stay in the way of their dreams.
