Transforming our worldthrough nonviolent action
On December 6, 2013, Chinese authorities arrested a highly respected Buddhist abbot, Khenpo Kartse, for allegedly "endangering state security." Khenpo is well known in the community for promoting unity, language rights and culture amongst the Tibetan people.
He is currently serving a two and a half year sentence for a crime he did not commit. He is supposed to be released in the spring of 2016, however China is known to use torture, deny medical treatment and extend sentences. Help us ensure his safe release from prison. If enough of us speak out for Khenpo Kartse, the more attention his case will get, and the more pressure China will be under to respond.
Take Action: Sign the petition for his release.
Release Khenpo Kartse now
