The Shepherds of Good Hope team has been working around-the-clock to ensure we can provide essential services to people without a home throughout this pandemic.
But, with the rise of the Omicron variant, our system is in crisis. We need you now more than ever. You have been there for our community when this pandemic first began in March 2020. Now, we need you to make sure people experiencing homelessness, and the staff members who serve them, are supported. We can't do it alone.
As you can imagine, our costs related to COVID-19 have substantially increased. The costs of everything from Personal Protective Equipment (like masks, gloves, gowns, goggles, and face-shields) to cleaning supplies, and plexiglass barriers have gone up. We've had to increase our staffing levels to provide care over a longer time period to allow our programs to practice social distancing. Our community kitchen must be open longer to allow us to serve the same number of people socially distanced. We must ensure no one is forgotten as we combat this pandemic.
