Rest assured Shepherds of Good Hope staff have been working around-the-clock to make sure we can provide essential services to people without a home during this pandemic.
You are a part of our caring community. You have been there for our community’s most vulnerable people. We can’t do it alone. Your generous support is needed during these difficult times.
People experiencing homelessness have a much weaker immune system, so we must protect them from getting it because it will spread quickly. We are doing everything we can to protect our staff, volunteers, clients, residents and our community at large.
As you can imagine, our costs to protect our staff, volunteers and clients have soared over these passed couple months. Our need for personal protective equipment is ongoing. Our staff on the front line wear 2 masks, approximately 3 pairs of gloves and a gown on every shift. Although some of these items have been donated, this PPE can cost us approximately $4 per person per shift. Considering we have on average 97 staff working per day who need to wear PPE the cost for personal protective equipment is around $338 a day.
Your generous support in this time of need will ensure we can provide essential services. Right now a monetary donation would be the most effective way to provide food and services to the homeless people in need today.
We appreciate your compassion as you offer a brighter tomorrow for our community's most vulnerable.
