Tell Congress: Don’t fund the border wall.

As A Christian, our faith commands us to “welcome the stranger” and to care for immigrants and refugees. Soon, Congress will vote on funding for Trump’s immoral and un-Christian border wall.

Tell Congress: Don’t fund the border wall.

Pope Francis said “A person who thinks only about building walls—wherever they may be—and not building bridges, is not Christian. This is not the Gospel.”

Urge your member of congress to vote against any funding for Trump’s immoral wall.

Don't Fund a Border Wall

Dear Member of Congress,

As a Christian, my faith commands me to "welcome the stranger" and to care for immigrants and refugees. The border wall proposed by President Trump runs counter to those gospel values. The wall won't work and is profoundly wrong from a moral standpoint it would be both unChristian and anti-Christian.

I agree with Pope Francis, who said "A person who thinks only about building walls--wherever they may be--and not building bridges, is not Christian. This is not the Gospel."

Additionally, the communities most impacted by border crossings -- those closest to the border, understand that the wall makes no practical or moral sense: There isn't a single member of Congress that represents a district on the U.S. Mexico border who supports building a wall. Nor is it popular among the American people more broadly: Recent polling puts support for the wall between 35 percent and 39 percent.

As your constituent I urge you to vote against any funding for Trump's immoral wall, which would stand as a monument to racism.

Sincerely,
