Stop Funding Cruelty and Release Families and Children

Families and children are being held in detention camps, and there are reports of insidious abuse and neglect being committed against them. The administration continues to expand its cruel enforcement operations, with threats of raids that could separate more families in our communities.

As people of faith, we are appalled by the systemic abuse, neglect, and terror being perpetrated by our government through heartless treatment in detention camps and elsewhere.

We are asking you to take action and send a message to your members of Congress that no one belongs in a detention camp, and that we must stop funding inhumane and ineffective enforcement operations and practices.

Act now to demand the swift release of families and children from detention camps. We must invest in long-term solutions to protect immigrant children and families at the border and the interior.

Release families and children. Stop funding cruelty.

Dear [Decision Maker],

As people of faith, we are appalled by the conditions migrant families and children are experiencing at the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) stations and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities. Experts have called this systemic neglect approaching a mass atrocity.

This systemic abuse and terror is being perpetrated by our government through inhumane and ineffective enforcement practices. We urgently call on you to exercise your authority to do the following:

1. Ensure the CBP and ICE will provide a swift and safe transition of families and children out of detention camps without unnecessary delays

2. Ensure the CBP and ICE will not be funded until they agree to dignified and responsible enforcement

Our communities cannot afford to live in fear anymore. We pray the government will stop funding terror.

Sincerely,
