Tell Congress: We Can Reduce Police Violence

A report from the Department of Justice on 21st Century Policing found that there are six pillars of action that police departments can take to reduce violence. The recommendations are practical, including ideas like training officers to recognize when someone might be having a mental health crisis, or how to calm down someone who they perceive as threatening without using force.

Police departments across the country could be transformed if they were required to adopt these recommendations. Will your members of Congress support these changes? Send a message to your members of Congress below - feel free to edit the message, or leave it as-is.
