Event Description
The Tour de Staten Island presented by Lucarelli & Castaldi is a "ride at your own pace" event on roads open to traffic. Unlike the other T.A. borough tours, there will not be an NYPD escort or road closures. The route will marked with painted arrows, riders will receive a cue sheet and will be free to begin the tour as soon as they have checked in and received their official rider-bib.

Route Description
The 22 mile tour will start and end at the Tompkinsville Square, less than 1/2 mile away from the Staten Island Ferry! The route will showcase Snug Harbor, before heading inland to the rest stop at Historic Richmondtown, followed by a challenging climb through the greenbelt, and a jaunt following the southern coast with dramatic views of New York Harbor.

T.A.'s Staten Island Volunteer Committee will be on hand to welcome you back at the finish. We hope you will stick around to learn more about what they're doing to make Staten Island a great place to ride a bike.

Getting There

Staten Island Ferry: St. George Terminal
After exiting the ferry on the lower level, head directly up the street ramp (Ferry Terminal Viaduct) and turn left on Richmond Terrace. Richmond Terrace quickly turns into Bay Street. Follow Bay Street south until Victory Blvd. Volunteers will be stationed at the St. George ferry terminal from 8:30AM to 10:30AM, to help guide riders to the start. Ferries depart Manhattan's Whitehall Terminal every half-hour.  See the full schedule for details. The crossing takes approximately 30 minutes.

Staten Island Railroad or bus
Tompkinsville stop. The start is just to the west of the railroad stop.

By Car
We encourage participants to bike or use mass transit, but if you must drive please note that free parking is extremely limited near the ferry terminal and start/end site. Click here for a Google map of the start location.

Registration Information
All participants are required to register and sign a waiver. Online registration will open September 9th, 2013. There is a cap of 1,000 participants.
