Steps for Life walk events are held in communities from east to west - in parks, at home and even virtually with the National Online event.
There are a few ways to register for this year's events. Your first step starts here.
Before you login into the Participant Centre, remember you MUST be registered for this year's walk. Once you are, you will be able to access the Participant Centre where you will be able to update your photo, your message, goals, and use template emails for fundraising.
Each spring, we join together to build a more hopeful future for all those affected by workplace tragedies.
On any given working day, three families will learn a loved one won't return home from work. Thousands more will experience a workplace injury or illness that will change their lives forever. Their families, friends, and co-workers will rally together to be there for one another.
The Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support, known as Threads of Life, supports the healing journey of families who have suffered from a workplace fatality, traumatic life-altering injury, or occupational disease.
Every year, Threads of Life hosts Steps for Life. This 5-km family walk aims to educate the community. It highlights the ripple effects of workplace tragedies. And, it shows how we can prevent such incidents.

Everyone! Families, friends and colleagues of those affected by workplace tragedy, teams from injury prevention organizations, labour, business, and the general public will all participate.
We're excited for Steps for Life 2025! When you register, choose to join us in person or walk from home to support your community. If there's no local walk, you can still join our National Online Steps for Life Event!

All proceeds from Steps for Life go to Threads of Life, a national charity. Threads of Life supports the healing journey for individuals and families coping with a workplace death, serious injury, or illness.
