How do I register online for the 2023 MK5K?
Follow the registration prompts to register as an individual, virtual runner, create a new team, or join an existing team. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation e-mail receipt that includes your registrant username and password.

Do I get a t-shirt? What's included in my registration?
All registered participants will receive an exclusive 2023 MK5K® participant t-shirt*, as well as access to the Good Move fundraising and activity-tracking app. Those registered for the in-person event will also receive a timed race bib.

*T-shirts are guaranteed while sizes last to the first 3,500 registrants. Register early to avoid missing out on your size!  

Can I change teams or become a captain of a new team after I have registered?
Yes, you can join a team or create a new team at any time. However, this requires site administrator support for already registered participants. Please email with your name, the team name you want to join or the new team you want created. You will receive an email confirmation once complete. 


Do you require fundraising?

Fundraising is not required. However, all participants are encouraged to create/join teams and help bring awareness and support to Foundation causes in your community.

What is unique about this website and the online fundraising tools for participants?
This website is unique because it offers the capability for individuals, teams and virtual walkers to not only register online for the event but also to collect donations from their friends and family through a customized personal page for each participant. This powerful and efficient tool allows the participant to track the progress of donations they have raised, send emails to ask for support and send thank you emails to supporters.

Are donations made in support of participants tax-deductible?
Yes, all donations to the Mary Kay Ash Foundation℠ are tax-deductible. Donors receive an email receipt detailing their donation that can be used for tax purposes.

How can I see who has donated to me/my team?
Login to your Participant Center using the username and password that you received when you registered for the event. You can then view your donor list and the amounts that have been donated as well as send email thank you notes to your supporters.

Some of my donors are not showing up on the scroll mechanism. Why?
When each supporter contributes, they have the option whether they want to appear in the recognition scroll and how they want their name to appear.

Can I enter offline donations (cash or check)?
Please mail all cash and check donations to the P.O. Box below to be added to your fundraising total once they are processed by the Mary Kay Ash Foundation. 

NOTE: Please include a message on the Memo line of the check indicating which individual or team the check should be applied to.

Can friends and family donate to a participant by going through the main MKAF website?
Yes. On the Mary Kay Ash Foundation℠ website home page, click "Get Involved" > "Events" > MK5K. Then select "Donate" in the top navigation. To donate to a participant or team, click on that option and it will take you to a search screen. Enter the participant or team's name to look them up. Select the name to direct you to the respective page to donate.

What is the deadline for fundraising?
Donations will be accepted through October 31. However, only donations received by 11:59pm CT on October 13 will be counted towards the fundraising contest.



Can I pick up my 2023 MK5K® t-shirt and registration packet before the day of the event?
In-person participants can pick up items at The Mary Kay Building on the dates below. Or pick up on race day starting at 7am.

  • Packet Pickup (Day 1): Tuesday, September 26th (10am-1pm)
  • Packet Pickup (Day 2): Wednesday, September 27th (11am-2pm)
Is it a child- and pet-friendly event?
Yes, dogs of all sizes on leash are allowed. We will have games and activities for children of all ages. Strollers are welcome.

What is MK5K® My Way?
MK5K® My Way allows you to participate - your way! Register for our virtual challenge and compete at your own pace in your own way – walk, run, bike, swim – 1 day or 13 days - it’s up to you! Track your distance using the Good Move app to complete the challenge.

What is the virtual challenge for this year's MK5K®?
Mary Kay Ash loved the number 13, so we are challenging you to complete 13 miles in 13 days!

When will this year's virtual challenge take place?
Our virtual challenge begins on Sunday, October 1st and ends on Friday, October 13th, 2023. Complete the challenge within the 13 days, individually or in teams.

Can virtual participants win race day awards?
Virtual activity tracking is based on the honor system, so we aren’t able to recognize virtual participants for their distance or time.

Do I need to track my progress for the virtual challenge?
The Good Move app makes it easy for virtual participants to track their distance. After registering, you will receive an email with instructions on how to download and use the app to track your progress. App use is encouraged but not required.


We are proud to partner with the Good Move fundraising and activity-tracking app! I didn't receive my one-time passcode.
If you haven't received your one-time passcode to access the Good Move mobile app, please check the email account you used to register for our event. You may need to wait a few minutes, then refresh your inbox or check your spam filter.

If you still don't see the email message containing your one-time passcode, please download Good Move from your mobile phone’s app store. From the Welcome screen, select Request a New Passcode to send another passcode to your email address for our event.

MK5K® proceeds benefit the Mary Kay Ash Foundation℠, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a two-fold mission: finding cures for cancers affecting women and ending domestic violence.

Will the Mary Kay Ash Foundation put my name on a mailing list?
The Mary Kay Ash Foundation℠ maintains only personal information that is voluntarily submitted to us. We only send information that is relevant to your participation in the event and other important news and events information about the Foundation. We respect your privacy and do not share your personal information with other third-party organizations.

I forgot my user name and password. How can I find out what they are?
For login assistance, email to request your username and password be resent to the email on file.
