Join us for the 2012 Coastal Cleanup Day at Rodeo Beach

Help us make Rodeo Beach a clean and safe place for ALL marine mammals!

Details:

Meet at Rodeo Beach Parking lot (in the Marin Headlands part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area) for Coastal Cleanup at 9am (no later than 11:00am) on Saturday, Sept. 15th. Please dress in layers (it could be foggy), wear good footwear, bring water to drink, a snack, garden gloves (then we do not use the disposable ones!). In addition, if you have a bucket with a handle, please bring it.  We are trying to use less of the official beach cleanup plastic bags, so bring your own bucket! We should be done cleaning up by noon.

After “Coastal Clean Up” options:

• Visit The Marine Mammal Center! It is located just a quarter mile from Rodeo Beach, admission is free and every cleanup participant will receive a coupon for 10% off at the Gift shop.  Enjoy seeing our patients, touching marine mammal artifacts in our Discovery Classroom and taking a Docent-Led Tour at 1pm or 3pm.
• Bring a picnic lunch and explore the Marin Headlands trails and the Park’s Visitor Center.
• Attend a free BBQ at the Bay Model in Sausalito (ends at 3pm).
