An endangered species -
The vaquita is a small porpoise, its name means "Little Cow"in Spanish. It lives exclusively in the northern part of the Gulf of California, and with less than 60 animals remaining in the wild, the vaquita is the most endangered marine mammal on the planet.
The vaquita is shy and elusive, making them hard to study and photograph. But the dark markings around their mouth and eyes have given them the nickname "panda of the sea."
