Welcome to My Personal Fundraising Page
Travis Roy was a promising freshman hockey player at Boston University in 1995. He had achieved the dream that so many young hockey players have when they lace up their skates year in and year out. Travis' dream was cut short when, in the first 11 seconds of his first shift in his first game, he crashed head-first into the boards and suffered a fracture of his 4th and 5th cervical vertebrae that left him a quadriplegic for the rest of his life.
But Travis lived out another dream, a dream of courage, kindness and dedication. After recoveing from his accident, Travis and his family and friends started the Travis Roy Foundation to help spinal cord injury survivors live more independent and hopeful lives. For the next 25 years, Travis managed the Foundation in raising more than $20 million and providing direct assistance to almost 2,500 spinal cord injury survivors nationwide. Sadly, Travis died in October 2020 due to complications from his paralysis.
I'd be grateful if you would help me support the Travis Roy Foundation continue its mission.
