Welcome to the Travis Roy Foundation's Women's Beanpot Charity Hockey Challenge fundraising site. Our goal is to bring together the women's hockey family to help support the Travis Roy Foundation, which is dedicated to helping survivors of spinal cord injuries and funding cutting-edge medical research into paralysis. This will be our fourth Women's Beanpot since 2018 and, to honor Travis' legacy, we hope to make it the best ever.
The Annual Women's Beanpot Charity Hockey Challenge will be played on February 8, 2022 at Boston University’s Agganis Arena. Following the scrimmages participants will rendezvous to enjoy drinks and dinner and watch the Women's Beanpot final being played at Northeastern University.
The Travis Roy Foundation was founded by Travis Roy, who survived a severe spinal cord injury in 1995 during his first 11 seconds on the ice for Boston University. After his accident, Travis spent the last 25 years of his life building a foundation to help spinal cord injury survivors and their families to live more independent and hopeful lives. Sadly, Travis died in October 2020 of complications related to his paralysis. To learn more, visit www.travisroyfoundation.org.
We ask each player to raise a minimum of $500 to help us reach our goal of $40,000. To register, please click the 'Register" button in the black bar above.
