OCH Healing Hands
Welcome to our Team!
Our Children's House (OCH) at Children's Health is a specialty hospital that houses three different populations: feeding, rehab and pulmonary. As a rehab and teaching hospital, the length of stay for most patients is at least 2 weeks. This provides the opportunity for the hospital staff to get to know their patient's and families well, sharing in the joys and struggles of their journey.
OCH Healing Hands was formed to better help the families we serve. Many of our patients require supplies and equipment prior to discharge home that are critical to their well-being. These supplies necessary for their care are often expensive and some families do not have the means to cover these costs.
Therefore, OCH Healing Hands is raising money to help assist those families in need. Whether it is a blender for a child that can only eat pureed table food, a car seat for a child discharging home, or medical equipment, we strive to fill the gap. 100% of the money raised will go to supporting the patients and families in need!
What is the Children's Health Red Balloon Run & Ride?
The Red Balloon Run & Ride is a family friendly fun run, walk, or bike event for participants and fundraisers to show their support for Children's Health. Held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Children's Health Legacy campus in Plano this event is a great opportunity for friends, families, coworkers and neighbors to get together and support every specialty program, service, clinic and research department at Children's Health.
