Welcome to My Personal Fundraising Page
Sponsor Team SOAR (Some Organ Assembly Required)
Welcome to my personal fundraising page for the Solid Organ Transplant department at Children's Health! Please consider making a pledge on Team SOAR's behalf in the Red Balloon Run & Ride. You can make a donation by clicking the YES I'D LIKE TO DONATE button above my fundraising thermometer. Thanks for your support!
Who am I supporting?
Team SOAR (Some Organ Assembly Required) supports the Solid Organ Transplant department at Children's Health. As one of the largest comprehensive transplant centers in the nation, the multidisciplinary team at The Transplant Center at Children's cares for patients needing a heart, kidney, liver, or intestinal transplant.
100% of the money I raise will go to Children's in support of the Solid Organ Transplant department!
Although there have been advances in medical technology and donation, the demand for organ donation still vastly exceeds the number of donors.
- More than 119,000 men, women, and children are waiting for their second chance at life through organ donation (1,100 of those waiting are 10 years old or younger
- Sadly, 8,000 people die each year (22 people each day) becuase the organs they need are not donated in time.

What is the Children's Health Red Balloon Run & Ride?
The Red Balloon Run & Ride is a family friendly fun run and walk event for participants and fundraisers to show their support for Children's Health. Held at the Children's Medical Center Legacy campus in Plano this event is a great opportunity for friends, families, coworkers and neighbors to get together and support every specialty program, service, clinic and research department at Children's Health.
Everyone may not have the same cause, but Passion for Children’s unites fundraisers through hope, courage, vision and determination to make a difference in the lives of children treated at Children's Health.
