Tell ExxonMobil to Stop Funding ALEC's Climate Deception
ExxonMobil now admits that, "The risk of climate change is real and warrants action." Ironically, newly uncovered documents show Exxon's owns scientists made similar warnings as far back as 1977, but company officials chose to instead fund a decade's long disinformation campaign against climate science and solutions.
ExxonMobil's words still do not align with its actions on climate change. ExxonMobil still funds the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), a group that spreads disinformation about climate change among policy makers in order to obstruct action.
In fact, ExxonMobil just sponsored ALEC's annual meeting, where policy makers were once again exposed to deceptive claims dismissing climate change as a "scam."
Tell ExxonMobil that actions speak louder than words: stop funding ALEC today!
