Tell Your Governor to Power Ahead on the Clean Power Plan

It is disappointing that the Supreme Court voted narrowly to side with powerful fossil fuel interests who seek to use lawsuits to delay the Environmental Protection Agency's Clean Power Plan.

However, this is not a ruling on the merits of the Clean Power Plan—nothing is stopping your state from moving forward with plans to act on climate change by limiting heat-trapping emissions from power plants and transitioning to renewable energy. Indeed, science shows that we must act now in order to avoid the worst consequences of climate change.

Call on your governor to power ahead with state plans to act on climate change and transition to renewable energy.

Please make your letter personal by adding in your own thoughts and concerns. Every letter makes a difference, but customized letters have the greatest effect!

Dear Governor,

While the courts do their due diligence by reviewing the Clean Power Plan, I strongly encourage you to ensure our state powers ahead on developing plans to act on climate change by limiting heat-trapping emissions and transitioning to renewable energy.

Sincerely,
