On April 10th, 2017 at Tark’s Grill, we are excited to host Eat Out for Autism to benefit the Kennedy Krieger Center for Autism Research and Development (CARD) and the work of Dr. Rebecca Landa. When you eat at Tark’s on April 10th, we will donate 20% of the day’s sales to CARD. Please consider making a donation to Kennedy Krieger in addition to or instead of attending Eat Out for Autism if you are unavailable that day.
Our Story: We purchased Tark's Grill at Green Spring Station last October with our close friend Bill Heaphy. Bill's son, Reid has autism and is a student at Kennedy Krieger’s Greenspring Campus. We have known Reid since he was a baby, and we have seen firsthand how Kennedy Krieger has played a vital role in his development and success. We have learned so much from Reid about the importance of early intervention in achieving the best possible outcomes for children with autism, and we are thankful to to have the opportunity to help CARD with this event. CARD enables children like Reid to reach their fullest potential and function as independently as possible in family, school and community life by providing them with the appropriate evaluates and services that they need to succeed.
Your participation will help ensure that children, adolescents and adults with complex conditions receive the necessary evaluations along with their medical visits. It will also permit families to participate in clinically meaningful studies which advance understanding and treatment options. Please “Eat Out for Autism” so that others with autism can have the chance for a happy, meaningful and wonderful life like our friend Reid.
If you have questions or need assistance, please contact the Kennedy Krieger Institute Office of Philanthropy at HelpKids@KennedyKrieger.org or (443) 923-7300. Your donation is greatly appreciated.
