I am thrilled to be part of the CR Soul Cyclers team in the Cycle of Life Tour for Hospice. As a retired healthcare worker, I have seen first hand the vital services that hospice provides, and I also have friends and family who have benefitted from these services. I will be celebrating a milestone birthday later this year, so this is a fitting opportunity to both challenge myself, and to raise money for a great cause!
On July 20-21, I will be riding nearly 200km to raise funds for Campbell River Hospice on Vancouver Island.
I truly believe in the important work being done in hospices across Vancouver Island. Hospices provide compassionate end-of-life palliative care, counseling, bereavement support, and at-home care to over 12,000 patients and family members each year. Despite the value of their services, none are fully funded by the health care system. The care and comfort they provide is only possible because of generous community support.
My goal is to raise at least $4,000 to help keep Vancouver Island hospice care in motion, and I need your support.
