Welcome to My Personal Page

This is my fourth year that I will be riding for Cowichan Hospice. Our Cowichan Hospice opened in October of 2020, with their first patients. Seeing their building virtually, made my heart so full of joy.
I'm committed to pedaling hard because Cowichan hospice needs our support now, more than ever. Hospice provides specialized care to ensure quality of life for those living with terminal illnesses. They also support the families with counselling and bereavement services. Despite the value of their care, however, no hospice on Vancouver Island is fully funded by the health care system.
I was born and raised in in the Cowichan valley, raised our family here, and now we have grandchildren living close by. I try to keep active, with our farm, hiking, cycling and giving back to the community I love. I turned 65 November 2021 and decide to do 65 Acts of Kindness to celebrate this special birthday.
In my three years of riding for Hospice I have raised $22,000. I take my fundraising seriously; I could not do it without so many amazing people that sponsored me over these last 3 years; not only financially, but spiritually and with a caring heart.
I am hoping you can help support me once again this year. I will ride hard. As a group we are riding 200km over 2 days, but my challenge will be greater. I will try to cycle like I did last year, 225km in one day, (12 hours).
Click on the Donate Now button to the right to donate to my page. Remember even though it says Victoria Hospice on your tax receipt, they are only doing the administration, my monies raised, goes to the Cowichan Hospice.
Donations need to be made before July 15 please. My email is mhof126@gmail.com
Email me and we can arrange other ways of giving a donation.
Thank you for your consideration.
