Welcome to My Personal Page
I am so excited to finally get to ride the official Cycle of Life Tour route covering almost 200kms over 2 days from Victoria to Salt Spring Island and back.
Supporting Hospice has been a part of my life for almost 10 years with both my parents being on the board and actively involved in fundraising. I tagged along whenever I could!
In 2019, when I was 12, me and my Mum got involved with the Comox Valley Cyclepaths Team. We helped the team raise funds and awareness for the Comox Valley Hospice in lots of ways including packing bags, selling tickets and riding on trainers outside stores. I got to know the team really well, especially Margaret and Raida. Margaret inspired me to sign up to ride the following year and I was excited to ride with her and be part of the Cyclepaths Team. Sadly, Margaret became ill later that year, and passed away in May 2020. I am so sad that I never got to ride with Margaret, but now I get to ride for Margaret.
The care and services provided by Hospices is second to none. Vancouver Island hospices provide end-of-life palliative care, counseling, bereavement support, and at-home care to over 12,000 patients and family members each year. Despite the value of their services, none are fully funded by the health care system. The care and comfort they provide is only possible because of generous community support.
I’ve promised to raise at least $1,000 to help keep Vancouver Island hospice care in motion, but I need your support.
Every donation, no matter what the size, will make a big difference and you will receive a tax-receipt. Simply click on the donate now to make your donation today!
