On July 20-21 this year, I will be riding nearly 200km to raise funds for hospice care on Vancouver Island.  This is my second time on this ride, and this year I have a new road bike I'm looking forward to riding for this fantastic fundraising event.

I truly believe in the important work being done in hospices across Vancouver Island. Hospices provide compassionate end-of-life palliative care, counseling, bereavement support, and at-home care to over 12,000 patients and family members each year. Despite the value of their services, none are fully funded by the health care system. The care and comfort they provide is only possible because of generous community support.

I’m targeting to raise at least $4,500 to help keep Vancouver Island hospice care in motion, and with your support I am confident I can achieve it!  The funds I raise will be directed to the Cowichan Hospice, in the community where I live, and I love the fact that these funds go to a cause close to home, that makes a real local impact.
