Ninety-six elephants are
killed every day in Africa.
The United States is one of the largest hubs for ivory sales in the world – and it's killing elephants thousands of miles away in Africa. Once ivory finds its way across our borders, there's no easy way to tell if it's legal or illegal – that's why we must stop the sale of all ivory.
Curbing the demand for ivory is a crucial step toward ending the elephant poaching crisis. State governments are the only ones with the power to regulate the sale of ivory within state borders.
Ask your state lawmakers to ban ivory sales.
If you take action and have not already registered, you will receive periodic updates and communications from Wildlife Conservation Society.
