Welcome to our fundraising page! We are seeking to raise funds to construct a home for the Ramos Lopez family in Tecuiz, Guatemala. We are also raising funds for a food distribution for the entire village of Tecuiz--which is comprised of approximately 500 families.
Project cost breakdown is as follows:
Home construction: $12,500
Food Distribution: 500 families x $35 per food pack = $17,500
TOTAL = $30,000
Dustin Ivey and Brian Pruett will be leading a team of 12 men on a mission trip to Tecuiz, Guatemala September 17-24, 2022. They will be assisting with the actual construction of the home for the family in need, packing and distributing the food bags to the village, and doing Gospel outreach! Please mark your calendars and be praying for the team as they prepare to go and that their fundraising goals will be met; but more importantly that they can be Salt and Light to the beautiful people of Tecuiz and that many would come to know and receive the love of Christ.

Here’s why this cause is so important:
Starvation is one of the most constant and deadly threats for families living in poverty, especially for children. When a child doesn’t have nutritious food, his body and brain stop developing like they should. His bones become brittle, he has no energy to play, and eventually his organs begin to fail.
Starvation is devastating. But the solution is simple. These families need food and we can provide that food!
Will you join us in helping provide them with this most basic need?
Your gift will help rescue men, women, and children from starving. You’ll make sure boys and girls get the nutrients they need to stay healthy and keep growing. You’ll help make sure parents don’t have to skip their own meals to feed their kids. Plus, your kindness and generosity will show Christ’s and could even open the door to share the Gospel too!
Lack of safe housing is another area of concern for families who live in these remote villages in the mountains of Guatemala. Many of the homes are put together with whatever materials can be found and are not structurally sound. The roofs are made of out leaves and have gaps which allows for precipitation and even dangerous snakes/animals to have easy access to the home.
The family we have the opportunity to bless is currently living in a one room house with dirt floors and no locking door. The six of them are sharing only three beds. This new home will have a secure concrete foundation, be constructed of block, have a locking door, and will include an eco-stove and a latrine. This will give them hope and a feeling of safety!
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for considering a donation to our project!
