About Herizon House

We offer free confidential services 24 hours a day and provide a place of safety, support and empowerment for abused women and their children. We are committed to ending the cycle of abuse and violence in the community.

Herizon House is a not-for-profit, charitable organization. We are committed to working cooperatively with other professionals and organizations to establish and maintain a seamless and comprehensive network of services for women who have been victimized by violence.

About Julliette's Place

For over 30 years, Homeward Family Shelter (operating as Julliette’s Place) has stood as a beacon of hope and refuge for abused women and their children. It is the only women’s shelter in Northeast Scarborough offering emergency help and comprehensive support services to those fleeing domestic violence.

A highly experienced, dedicated staff team is available 24/7 to provide free, client-centred information and counselling, and to guide residents on their journey to rebuilding their lives. While the typical stays within shelter are 90 days, countless women remain connected to the Julliette’s Place community through its extensive Support Group programming.
